Today I had to go up to my mini-finca in Cabarete on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic to pay my gardener who works for me full time now for about 2 years. It was the last day I was going to see him before the 1st of the month and I wanted him to have his money. I also paid my maid today so she would have her money also. While up at the finca I was able to take some peanuts and Yuca to eat. I have a lot of each growing at the finca along with many other fruits and vegatables. I think I have every fruit possible from Figs to Oranges and everything inbetween planted and growing on the property. I get more enjoyment out of this property than I should legally able to get! I walk this property every day and sometimes for hours. I have 10000 plants in the ground or maybe more! Fruits, vegetables and flowering plants of all different varieties can be found here. One day I will be able to give tours here for profit:) Today I checked the stats on the old blog and was amazed how many people are still going there. It is taken out of sight but people must have bookmarked the page. I am getting email every day several times a day asking where this new blog is located. Wednesday which was the last day the blog was operational I had 809 Page reads and 309 unique users. Thursday after the blog was closed by the host I had 576 Page Reads and 174 Unique users. Today the blog has been closed for 2 days there were 125 page reads and 65 Unique users. People are still reading the closed blog:) They don't know how to get here yet so help out anyone who needs this address if you don't mind. Edd said that Robert is killing every thread that tells people how to find me. Big surprise:) Poor Rob just doesn't get it. His lack of experience and years is going to come back and bite him on the ass sooner than later. Today there have been 121 Unique users here and 228 page reads. This should pass yesterdays traffic but it is too early to know yet. Hasta Pronto!

Hello Edd!

Say Hi to Edd (Rellosk) who just returned to Sosua today. Great to have you back again Edd! Tonight we are going to have some fine wine and dinner! Hasta Pronto!

Nice start to the NEW Blog!

This picture is of Dawns Pool taken from her Penthouse Balcony. Yesterday Badpiece, my brother Mike, Darren, a chica, Dawn and myself hung out up there having cocktails. It was lovely up there with a great breeze. Great place to entertain. Poor Dawn was working as we were having crazy conversations and a nice time but what the heck, someone has to work! Last night as Jack Quontree, Dawn and myself were headed out to Jazz Ladybird pulls up and she had no clue to where she was going. She had to be lost to find Dawns home because it is convienent to nowhere:) When I told Jackie who she was after we got in the car he was laughing as he didn't know it before hand. Yesterday which was the first day of the NEW location there were 353 page reads and 156 Unique User on the Blog. This morning by 10 am there have been so far 114 Page Reads and 58 Unique Users so far. Believe it or not this is a way better start than the last time I started. Thanks for coming and please keep posting the comments! Today I pick up Ed (Rellosk on DR1) from the Airport. It is always great to see him and he is always a fun guy to hang around with! I will post his picture late this afternoon after I fetch him from Puerto Plata Airport! Welcome home in advance Ed! Hasta Siempre!

After Jazz and on the way home to Sosua Land...

After going to hear some Jazz my car all on its own pulled into my favorite Tipico which is a house of prostitution here in Cabarete on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. These gals love to get there pictures taken and LOVE TO POSE for the camera.

We always have a good time here. No one bothers you and the gals are fun. We buy the big beers and share them with the gals and that is all they really want. There is no pressure or problems here. You can just drink beer, dance and leave and a good time is had by all. That is exactly what we did!

It was a quiet night and we were there quite early. I asked one of the girls where all the others were and they said home for the holidays. I wish them all a Prosperous New Year!

Hasta Siempre!

Thursday Jazz On the Beach in Cabarete

Besides these folks at Jazz Dawn, JackieQuontee, Herb, Renee, David Niko the Commie was there along with myself! We have a bunch of appetisers and a bunch of pizza, listened to some nice Jazz and have fun conversations. Did you know that Bulgarian is the root language of all Slovic languages and their Alphabet is the basis of all of them? This is what happens when you bring your Commie with you everywhere, you get to learn these things:) We went to Pomadoro which is on the beach in Cabarete to eat and listen to Jazz last night. I think I can speak for all of us and say we had a delightful time. Pomadoro is at the end of the Cobblestone Street on the left going to the beach. Usually we sit on the beach when we eat here but last night we sat inside to listen to the Jazz. There use to be a Jazz Club in Cabarete which went out of business a year ago. I went there 4 nights a week, played some chess and listened to Jazz and I miss that place. The Guitar player last night use to play there regularly along with a bunch of others. If you are anywhere near Cabarete on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic on Thursday nights and like Jazz you should stop in to Pomadoro. Good for dinner every other night but no Jazz. Food and drinks for 7 people was under 100 US dollars so this is probably the only reasonably priced place on the Beach. Hasta Siempre!

Off to a great start

Grandma is saying good bye to my last host of my blog who censored and edited my blog to suit himself and his goals. We are off to a great start and have 60 unique users already even after the other site deleted the comments which point here:) Everyone that comes here is a new user until you log in a second time. I will have only New Users for a while. This is going to be fun doing a blog now without anyone looking over my shoulder and both editing and censoring what I write. I should have moved this blog a while ago but you get comfortable and stay where you know the software and you have a following. Ok so I made the move and now I need your help in promoting it to people who don't know it was moved. Tell your friends and others that you know where to find me! I will post news here relating to the Dominican Republic and talk about my life here as an Expat. I will also send you to other sites that have good information about the Dominican Republic such as a neat site I have been reading for quite a while and quoting in my blog called "Dominican Today" which can be found at: http://www.dominicantoday.com/ Great news about the Dominican Republic and updated often. An alternative to my exhost who I won't be speaking much about for a while:) Here is an interesting story I just saw there. http://www.dominicantoday.com/app/article.aspx?id=8758 Headline: After reports of supposed attempt against Fernandez, Police find arsenal I will update the site with stories, news and much more as often as I find something interesting. Hasta Siempre!

Same blogger, different host!

I had another blog which has been running since May and I have had stats from July. I had since July to now over 66,000 unique visitors to my blog. The owner of the site that sponsored my blog censored my blog although he knew I was going to speak my mind in advance and promised he wouldn't do that. I made it public and people bitched and complained until he shut it down like I knew he would. You don't edit peoples blogs because that just isn't right. He did things in a very underhanded way and would make comments that were insulting and wouldn't let you answer back. I am glad I am here now and not where I was. I can now say what I want without being censored by some young fellow who wants to appear to have a handle on everything yet has a handle on very little. Perhaps that will come with age and I hope so. I wish him well and I am sure he will do just fine. I just wasn't about to listen to his BS. Here is a copy of an email I received tonight. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did:) "Though I did not often agree with your opinions, I certainly agree that a Blog should be open and honest. what in hell good is reading a "personal experience or opinion" if some moron edits the thing/ typical British attitude, we threw then out of US twice for this type of activity, throw off your blog and send us all a link to your new one How many times has Robbie used his Holier than thou attitude to edit, suppress etc. than try to remain "cool" by calling people Kindergarten kids He is one of the few jerks I have remained disgusted enough with to want to slap up the side of the HEAD, WHAT A WHINING BABY HE IS AND YES, I COULD CARE LESS IF YOU FORWARD THIS TO HIM, I HAVE SAID MUCH WORSE TO HIS ONLINE FACE" Now I never agreed with this fellow until now and I think I am finally understanding him! LOL Man it feels good to be free! Hasta Siempre!
