This is the small house in the project in Cabrera I am working on. It really isn't so small at 430 m2 of construction. That is about 45oo sq. ft to you dumb Americans:) (Did I mention I was American?)
.
We are starting the ceramic floor this week. Inside is mostly painted and most of the trim work is finished. The view from the second floor Master Bedroom Suite is truly amazing. I had a picture of the view and it was amazing. There is a large pool in the back that is already build and just needs to be finished. . Next picture is a conceptual picture of the finish of house. This a real nice house and may already be sold but I am not sure yet.
This is looking up at the house from the big house. Neat place. Another place I wouldnt mind living and you never know!
.
I have a piece of property in Cabrera that looks very similar to this piece. It sits on a cliff and overlooks the ocean also. Neat place to live tambien.
.
Next pictures are of the bigger house.

Pictures of project in Cabrera I am involved with...

This is the view from the big house in construction in Cabrera. There will be a pool that starts under roof and will continue to the cliff and end as an infinity lap pool with a bump to the right.
.
I was just involved in the financing of this project until the borrower defaulted and now I am more actively involved in the project.
.
The next picture is of the front of the big house in construction. (490 m2 or over 5000 sq. ft.) It has 4 large bedrooms with insuite bathrooms and a office that can be a fifth bathroom. The master bedroom is on the left wing in the back. It is truly a lovely house I wouldn't mind owning. You have a beautiful ocean view from everything that faces the rear and even while laying in bed. .
I do have to tell you that I don't even notice the ocean anymore but the view here is spectacular! I can't wait till this bad boy gets finished. It is going to be quite the house!. .
The next photo is a closeup of the front of the house. You can see strait thru the back of the house from the front and you will see the infinity pool along with a panaramic ocean view before you even walk into the house. That is the ocean in the bottom of the opening. Real neat house and view.

Dawns new ex car and Dawns new Blog

First off here is the link to Dawns new blog she is working on in Thailand. Dawn is a great writer when she doesn't decide to get too wordy which is most times. She writes like she talks. Sometimes by the time she gets to the end of a sentence I am dumbfounded to figure out what she is talking about to begin with because it was so long since she started my eyes get crossed!:)
.
Oh heck, I am only kidding. READ DAWNS BLOG NOW!
.

.
The Car on the right is a car I had made arrangements to buy on Dawns behalf from a client in the restaurant who wants to blow town and as a matter of fact has already blown town.
.
The car on the left is a car I bought just a few months ago. Dawn borrowed it and cracked it up before I owned it a week. I wanted her to get another car so she didn't have to crack mine up again:) .
I made a good deal on her behalf and went to Guido Perdomo who is both my lawyer and just about everyone I know to do a contract for her.
.
Well the guy cracks the car up on his way to Guido's office with the title. He must have hit a telephone pole because that is the way the car looked.
.
Radiator was shot along with fan motor. Car overheated and who knows what damage was underneath. Needed everything up front except the fenders.
.
Then he tells me that he flat towed the car from Puerto Plata to Sosua. You don't flat tow a car with an automatic tranny without disconnecting the driveshaft which I am sure he didn't. The tranny will now need to be replaced.
.
I took a pass on the car after congradulating Dawn on a nice new reliable car:( Well it was a 2006 model Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 in great shape before it was trashed!
.
In other business I supposedly came to terms on a piece of property on the Main Road between Sosua and Cabarete. All this means at this point is that I have an accepted offer which now goes to the attorney to research the title and then after it is clear of liens/problems I purchase it.
.
This is a 50/50 deal at this point. In the states I would have said it was 99% done as there is a meeting of the minds. Here it is a different story for sure. I can tell you stories that will curl your toenails. You have to be real careful about everything you do here. If you take all precautions you will get what you pay for. If you don't you may just be donating your hard earned money to some scoundrel.
.
I will let you know what comes of my land purchase! I hope it goes through. It is a perfect piece for me as it will replace one that I have recently sold as it is the same type of location.
