Major League Baseball Can't invest enough in a country such as the Dominican Republic

Baltimore Sun - United States... I am of the belief that a baseball team cannot invest enough in a country such as the Dominican Republic. http://blogs.baltimoresun.com/sports_custom_maese/

I found you!!!! You have no idea how difficult the holidays were once you were removed from DR1.

So happy to have found you (I guess Robert didn't see one of the links that is on there ;)

From cold Canada, want to say thanks for all the great reading.

wow, I just noticed... the other DR1 blogs aren't allowed even to show a link to Escott's blog. They've been removed. Pathetic.

I've been thinking about blogs in general online-- and how many controversial ones became important on-the-scene during the initial bombing of Iraq. Because mainstream media was tilted one way or another and many desired broader opinion.

Those voices from a war zone have got to be more earth shattering than personal criticism of whatever. Wherever. Whenever. Yet they were not silenced. Power of the internet.

The internet can go two ways still... the one alternative to govt and media manipulation. Or it can succumb. Much has been written about its potential for manipulation and the ultimate eradication of freedom of speech.

It's pathetic to witness advertisers in control of what is purported to be the online 'community' of DR1.

A friend the other day said it best: To stand strong against the complaints of advertisers is to let it be known that they are not in control, but the public is. Freedom of speech. As it should be. I can't help but be leery of an advertiser who would seek to silence any voice... smells of weakness to me.

And a joke when one hears that the Dominican Republic is often a chosen homeland because it has not yet succumbed to the entrenched manipulations of more ... advanced cultures.

Believe it or not there are over 200 unique visitors here every day already.

Robert couldn't keep me quiet on his site and although he is trying like hell to hide this one he isn't doing that well at it:)

Glad you found the blog!
